The beauty and the beast of a Fair launch

To begin with, a heartfelt Happy New Year to everyone!
According to the Cambridge Dictionary, ‘Fair’ as an adjective denotes treating individuals rightly and justly, devoid of personal biases, ensuring equality and impartial judgment. In the realm of zkFair, the primary focus lies in ensuring equality while distributing the zkFair rewards among all participants.

Regarding the airdrop, my contention stems from the perceived lack of fairness. I anticipated each wallet to receive an equal share of zkFair tokens. However, zkFair acknowledges the community as integral users of the project. Yet, how can one gauge the specific token allocation based on their contribution to the ecosystem? Transparency seems absent, as there isn’t a defined formula indicating the amount one could expect in correlation to their network usage.

Moreover, fairness extends to accessibility. Whether a heavy investor or a modest spender, transitioning from the mainnet to zkFair incurs costs. While I understand the lack of control over bridge fees, the additional expenses in bridging pose challenges for users. Withdrawals from major CEX platforms on the mainnet demand a certain fee. Bridging imposes extra costs, creating barriers for users trying to access the fair launch token. It highlights the inherent unfairness in the world.

Communication plays a pivotal role in fairness. Many potential users might miss out on early opportunities due to inadequate event information dissemination. These missed chances could confine them to merely reading about a fair launch years later. How did the fair launch address this disparity? It’s unfortunate that the world can be harsh, but fairness remains a pivotal concept.

Now, let’s address the monumental question worth $10 billion. With increasing usage, establishing a direct link to main centralized exchanges, the primary gateway to the web3 ecosystem, becomes imperative. Granting these exchanges access to the network, given their owners’ involvement in the platform, could significantly enhance accessibility. However, ensuring sustained usage requires more than mere accessibility.

In the web3 landscape, financial incentives play a critical role in retaining users. Historically, the primary allure for individuals coming into this realm has been the prospect of easy money, with technology following as a secondary factor. The pattern has been evident during the previous bull markets: setting up web3 projects, attracting venture capitalists, and eventually offloading assets once profitable, leaving newcomers at a disadvantage. To retain users, a system offering ongoing incentives such as a token-holding contract with airdrops based on usage or continuous distribution of mainnet tokens as new innovations hit the blockchain space becomes imperative.

My take on fairness encompasses various aspects crucial to the success and inclusivity of zkFair and the broader web3 landscape.
