It usually comes down to creating a dex. Why not look the other way?
In the crypt, security is most important, and interestfulness comes second. Imho
Taking stock of the DEXs on L2, you will notice that the TVL of these DEXs is significantly smaller compared to DEXs on L1 like Pancake or Uni, and even more so compared to centralized exchanges like Binance, Okx, Mexc, and the difference is clear.
In my opinion, this is largely due to the lack of attractive opportunities for users on L2 DEXs. Swapping between ETH and USDC can be quite dull when there are numerous other investment opportunities elsewhere.
The purpose of this proposal is to create a much larger opportunity for L2 DEXs like ZKFair.
From this description, it seems that it is a two-way bridge. So, can I also bridge any token from ZKFair to other blockchains? Is that correct?
That’s right, we can deploy a two-way bridge solution like that. Tokens issued on ZKFair will also have easier access to other blockchains.
You should include this illustration in the proposal content
I’d love that too. Additionally, I want to present the proposal following the EIP standards. But I haven’t found a way to make edits yet.
I see there is an editing function.
I’m not sure anymore. It seems like it only allows editing once.
Anyway, you’ve presented it very clearly. I like this idea; it’s quite innovative.
Some people are asking why it’s so good, yet no one has ever done something like this before. I don’t know either. But I truly believe it’s feasible.
Everything has to start somewhere. I think this idea is not just for ZKFair, but in the future, many other blockchains may also find it interesting
Is there a risk of information theft or fraud? Or in the case of relayers like LayerZero encountering issues, could it cause a bottleneck and users not being able to retrieve their funds? Because, after all, there is still an offchain component within LayerZero.
The output we send through LayerZero is stored publicly on the blockchain before being processed by the LayerZero Relayer. In the event that LayerZero doesn’t work, users can still manually bridge by directly calling the destination smart contract to claim tokens. This is not a new solution, so I think if we are careful, there should be no issues
The vision of this initiative is great. But isn’t it the case that LayerZero has already provided cross-chain token bridging functionality?
Can you currently bridge BNB from Linea to Base using LayerZero?
LayerZero only supports tools to enable dApps to do this, but it does not directly bridge tokens itself. To bridge any token through L0, you still need the cooperation of smart contracts at both ends.
I’m not very technical, but what matters is the result. I hope it will be successful
Technical issues can always be solved one way or another. But the benefits for users are what matter most. Thank you for contributing your perspective.
Supporting meme coins and other tokens from different blockchains could give ZKFair a unique edge in the market. This idea should be implemented
Furthermore, it also embodies the fairness and decentralization we are striving for
